A new and innovative savings product geared at offering ”MEGA Advantage” in returns to our members, was launched at the beginning of the year.

The product branded the MEGA Advantage Deposit Account is an interest bearing fixed deposit account. Interest will be calculated and paid at the start of the fixed term. Payment of interest will be made after the period that the funds are held for has elapsed.

Seventy-five percent (75%) of the interest amount will be paid in cash to the member, or if he/she chooses, it can be lodged to an account with the Credit Union. The balance of twenty-five percent (25%) must be deposited to the Share account.

The portion deposited to shares cannot be withdrawn until the contract has matured or has been liquidated.

The account may be opened with a minimum amount of $250,000 Jamaican dollars.
