Mrs. Verna McLean has been a long-standing member of the Credit Union. Her membership dates back to 1972, one year after becoming a member of staff at the UWI at the then Senior Common Room. She has consistently used the services of the Credit Union for assistance with her children’s education. Her two daughters who are members of staff of the UWI have joined the Credit Union. One of them, Jacqueline, is a very committed member of the Credit Committee.

She is particularly proud that she was able to own her home with the assistance of the Credit Union. She is pleased to see that the Credit Union has come this far from 2 shillings to five hundred million dollars and is fifty years old. “All members of staff should join the Credit Union,” advises Mrs. McLean.
